Redondo Beach Race

February 2004 Redondo Beach, CA:

Redondo Beach's traditional superbowl game-day race includes 5K & 10K running races and a 10K skate... and a costume contest! We (three skaters, two 10K runners, and a 5K runner) arrived late and just barely made the start with no time to stretch or warm up; I ended up carrying shoes and a cellphone through the race, and Melita and Claudine each had bookbags. So... not the quickest race ever. But fun!
